2022: Josef Rempfler «machidi loschtig, die Zweit»
Corona blossomed miraculously in summer 2020: Josef Rempfler used the time without performing to realize an idea on his own: the production of a CD with his own accordion dances, at home in the studio.
After the first CD release «machidi loschtig» in 2020, now follows another CD: «machidi loschtig, die Zweit» with 23 still unpublished accordion dances, a yodelling song and a Chlausezäuerli.
On this CD the focus is mainly on the still unreleased accordion tunes. Josef Rempfler recorded them with accordion, piano and bass – just as Hans Dörig (Ursele) had influenced and made known this style in the sixties.
In some dances you can hear the Appenzell immediately. They live from the typical «teenzigen» simple melodies combined with singing. So also this second CD has the appropriate name: «machidi loschtig, die Zweit» …because «machidi loschtig» means: Enjoy yourselves, good entertainment!
